We began our journey with Boer goats separately early in the 2000's and then combined our herds in 2010. We wanted to raise livestock who would utilize our land to the best of it’s ability.
Boer Goats were the perfect fit for our lives, from companionship, to land clearing, to meat production and showmanship.
At our farm we strive to produce goats who are productive, sound on their feet and do well in a pasture/browse environment. We raise our goats to excel in pasture conditions, however all of our does are fed a balanced ration of grain and hay during later pregnancy and throughout lactation. All of our kids are started on grain at about 2 weeks of age. This ensures optimal health and growth.
We select breeding stock based on breed type, confirmation, maternal ability, growth rates and hardiness.
We breed does who can birth unassisted in any weather conditions. We are present in the barns often, especially during the winter kidding season. However we expect our does to birth and raise their kids with minimal interference. Should a doe be unable to birth easily or raise her babies, she will not be bred again.
Extraordinary circumstances happen, but as a rule it is expected for our does to be great mothers, and make plenty of milk to feed her babies
We cull our herd hard and are always pushing to better our own herd and the animals we offer for sale.
You will not buy a goat from us that we would not use in our own program.
Our herd is made up of Registered Fullblood, Purebred and Percentage goats. American Boer Goat Association
We love breeding for color, quality is our first priority - Traditional, Paint, Red, Black, & Dapple
We usually have goats for sale.
